RSVP
1. Can I bring a date?
Unfortunately due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate any extra guests. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Please check your invitations and restrict the attendees in your party to those listed on your RSVP Card. We wish we could accommodate all our friends and family, but it is simply not possible. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
2. Can I bring my children?
Due to venue restrictions, we have decided to limit kids’ invite to family and close friends only. Please check your invitation if your child’s name is on the RSVP. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
3. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Please RSVP by May 1, 2021. We encourage our guests to please RSVP online. However, an envelope with return address is provided should you prefer to mail back your RSVP card.
4. I already sent my RSVP but I changed my mind. What should I do?
You can still change your RSVP online until August 30, 2020. After that, please contact us directly so we can properly make the necessary changes.

Dress Code
5. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Dress code is Formal Attire. No denim, t-shirts, tank tops, mini skirts or revealing outfits, please! This is a very special occasion so dress to impress! Remember: white is reserved for the bride only. A formal suit and tie for men and a long evening dress, dressy suit or formal cocktail-length dress for women are recommended. 6. Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?
Please remember that white is reserved for the bride only. The wedding party will be wearing green, gold and silver/grey. We would prefer that no one wear black.
7. Any other special attire notes I should know?
Temperatures tend to dip in September, you might want to bring a jacket or wrap to keep you warm.
Travel and Accommodations
8. Where should I fly? What’s the nearest airport to the venue?
The nearest airport to the venue is about 20 minutes away which is the Toronto Hamilton International Airport (YHM). Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 40 minutes away from the venue and is close to downtown Toronto. If you live in the US and are seeking cheaper flights, the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is a little over an hour away from the venue.
9. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We’ve secured a block of rooms for your convenience. Please refer to our accommodation section. Don’t forget to reserve your room by August 15th to avail these special rates.
Ceremony and Reception
10. Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception will both be at The Lakeview. Their address is:

11. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes! The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator available for those who has trouble taking the stairs.
12. What time should I arrive? Where do I go when I arrive?
Our ceremony will take place inside the ballroom on the upper level with beautiful views overlooking Lake Ontario. We kindly ask our guest to arrive at least 15 mins early to find a seat. The ceremony will start right at 4:00pm.
13. Will transportation be provided to/or from the hotel?
We encourage our guests to get to know each other and carpool as much as possible. The reserved hotels are only 5 minutes away from the ceremony/reception location.
14. Will parking be available?
Yes! Parking is available free of charge in front of the venue.
15. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We invite you to be fully present with us during the ceremony. Kindly turn off all phones and cameras and enjoy the moment with us.
After the ceremony, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #JulieTakesTheMike so we can keep track of all of your pictures.
16. What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight to the first floor at the indoor lounge area or the private patio that overlooks the waterfront of Lake Ontario where you can enjoy a selection of hot & cold hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
17. Will there be food and drinks served? What if I have a dietary restriction?
The dinner reception includes a gourmet four course meal with two entrées, Host Bar, dancing, late night buffet and photo booth to follow into the evening. We encourage our guests to make use of Uber, Lyft, cabs, public transit, and designated drivers to make sure everyone has a fun and safe night. Cars can be parked for free and left overnight at the venue if needed. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know on your RSVP so that we can plan accordingly and organize ways to accommodate you.
18. May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?
Please let us know first before you take any of the centerpieces. Most of the centerpieces are rental and must be returned to the venue. The flowers, however, may be taken home as a souvenir.
19. What time is reception scheduled to end?
12 midnight

21. Where are you registered?
We have decided not to register for gifts. As love is what the day is all about, your presence is one we can’t celebrate without, but should you still believe that a gift is worth giving, a small envelope for our future is a delightful blessing.
